The short answer

ProAlert™ doesn’t stop when a Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) action is completed. Its integrated A-FMDS (Automated Floor Management Development System) process provides ongoing follow-through against the affected operational measures, helping teams determine whether the improvement actually holds. Depending on the Kaizen, that measure may be OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, scrap, throughput, quality, safety or another KPI (Key Performance Indicator).

What ProAlert does not do is claim that a particular Kaizen caused a particular OEE change. It puts the improvement and the measure it was meant to move side by side, over time, so the team can judge.

01The loop

From an issue to an improvement that holds

The Kaizen and A-FMDS loop in ProAlert
StageWhat happens
1. Issue or opportunityA gap surfaces on the A-FMDS daily board, a problem is raised, or someone on the floor sees a better way to work.
2. KaizenThe idea is submitted from the mobile app or the web with the current state, the proposed state, the expected benefit and an estimated saving. It moves through review to approval, rejection with feedback, or hold.
3. ActionsApproved ideas get an owner and a target date. Status changes reach the people involved in real time.
4. ImplementationThe owner records before and after measurements, actual savings, actual investment and attachments such as photos and drawings.
5. VerificationA role-gated verification compares the actual result with the estimate. Once verified, the configurable incentive workflow can pay the original submitter.
6. A-FMDS follow-throughThe affected measure stays on the daily board. The “did the fix hold” view shows that metric over three ranges after the countermeasure, so the team sees whether the gain is still there weeks later.

A Kaizen Implemented tile on the A-FMDS board links straight to the Kaizen register, and a burn-up chart tracks submitted, in-progress and implemented ideas over time.

02Honest scope

Follow-through, not automatic proof

An OEE figure moves for many reasons at once: product mix, staffing, a maintenance event, a material change. Software that claims to prove one improvement caused one change in that figure is claiming more than the data supports.

ProAlert makes the evidence easy to read instead. The Kaizen record holds the measured before and after and the verified saving. The A-FMDS follow-through keeps the affected measure in front of the team after the work is done, on the same database, against the same assets and shifts. People who know the floor make the judgment, with the numbers in front of them.

03Why it matters

Why most improvement programs lose their gains

  • The idea is closed when the work is done. Nobody is assigned to look at the measure a month later, so a fix that drifts back goes unnoticed.
  • The idea and the measure live in different places. A suggestion spreadsheet and an OEE report do not reference each other, so the follow-up never happens.
  • The person who raised it never hears back. In ProAlert the submitter sees their idea’s status, in English, Spanish, French or German, and sees the incentive when it is verified.
04FAQ

Questions buyers ask next

How can Kaizen actions be tied to measured OEE improvement?

In ProAlert, a Kaizen record holds measured before and after values and a verified saving, and the integrated A-FMDS process keeps following the affected operational measure after implementation, through a "did the fix hold" view that shows the metric over three ranges after the countermeasure. The measure can be OEE, downtime, scrap, throughput, quality, safety or another KPI. ProAlert presents the evidence side by side; it does not claim to prove that a specific Kaizen caused a specific OEE change.

What happens after a Kaizen action is completed?

The owner records actual results and savings, a role-gated verification compares them with the estimate, and the affected measure continues to be followed on the A-FMDS daily board so the team can see whether the improvement holds.

Is Kaizen a separate product from ProAlert?

No. Kaizen is a module of the ProAlert platform, on the same database as A-FMDS daily management, maintenance, quality and OEE, with real-time status updates to the people involved.

Can operators submit Kaizen ideas in their own language?

Yes. Kaizen categories, status labels and notifications are available in English, Spanish, French and German, following each user language preference.
