ProAlert Goes Multilingual and Introduces BOM Support for Enhanced Material Requests

Exciting times are ahead for ProAlert users. Our latest release brings multilingual support, making it easier than ever for global teams to collaborate seamlessly. But that's not all... our next major update will introduce Bill of Materials (BOM) integration, further optimizing manufacturing workflows.

BOM integration for smarter material requests

To support our enhanced Materials Operator Mobile Application, ProAlert will soon include BOM integration for products being manufactured. This powerful addition ensures that Work Centers (WCs) can request materials in a more efficient and informed manner.

• Flexible material requests: Work Centers can be configured to request either all materials needed for the current product running, or specific materials as needed.
• Proactive material preparation: WC Operators will now be able to inform the Materials team about the next product to run, allowing them to prepare in advance for changeovers.
• Claim-based request handling: When a material request is placed, Materials team members can claim a request, preventing duplication. Other handlers will be notified that the request is already being handled, the Work Center will be informed about who is bringing the materials, and the location at the time of claim will be recorded for reporting and tracking. This feature can be opted out of.

Fully configurable roles and teams

Manufacturing operations are unique, and so are their teams. ProAlert now allows for fully configurable roles, giving plants the flexibility to define their own teams, such as Manufacturing, Quality, Supervisors, Materials Handlers, and temporary teams as needed.

Each team can have its own set of calls (call buttons on the WC GUI) and custom PA sounds. Additionally, teams can be assigned to specific areas of a plant or be plant-wide.

Smarter displays for relevant messages

With this update, Andon screens will display only relevant messages for teams assigned to a specific area. No more cross-team distractions from unrelated notifications.
